The woman in the Ally

I 37 was walking home one night and came across a woman trying to sleep in the ally I used as a short cut. It wasn't safe place to sleep, as late at night drunks and drug users came there. I told she'd better find a safer place, she said where would that be, at least here I'm out of the rain against this wall. I thought for a minute and said you could use garage I don't have a car it will warmer there also. After some thought she accepted my offer and accompanied me to my home two blocks away. Letting her into my garage with light on I saw she had bruising and seeing me looking said her boyfriend had bashed her and kicked her out, as she wouldn't sleep with his buddy. I had her join me for a meal and let her shower and then decided to let her use one of my spare bedrooms. I left her settle in and I went to my bed. In the morning (Saturday) she left at midday as she said her boyfriend would gone out and she got her clothes and personal things. Leaving before he returned; she came back to my place, and I let back in. She didn't look half bad and was 31, she had job as a waitress but decided to find another job, as her boyfriend would certainly show up there. My workplace had vacancy for a receptionist, so I told her about it. She came with me on the Monday to see about the job, her bruising covered by makeup. I told the office manager about the bruising, as she didn't like woman with lots of makeup on. My unofficial boarder got the job on a trial basis but proved to be a good receptionist and was soon fulltime. Still living with me, rarely going anywhere except to work with me. We became close and then lovers, finally marrying last November. She is now pregnant to me and still works as a receptionist. As my wife job is very safe as she is married to the junior partner in the business, my father being the senior partner and my wife is the daughter my mother has always wanted.
