To get my inheritance

I was in line for a large inheritance, a very large inheritance. One problem, there was three conditions attached to the inheritance. First was to settle down, second was to marry and third start a family. I wasn't without my own money, but it wouldn't last forever as I don't believe in working and prefer to enjoy myself instead. At 31 I wanted to travel and party, and I'd been doing just that since I was 24. My father was dead and I'd no siblings only a great uncle left a very rich person and as his second living heir, I thought I would inherit regardless. But I got the news of changes to his new will after my mother passed away suddenly 18months ago. My mother was his actual relative and in line to inherit and after she died, he altered his will. Adding the three conditions, that shocked me, especially as each condition had guidelines attached. Which were strictly to be followed, such as had to stayed married for 10 years, no scandals and marrying a suitable woman. Which meant my usual girlfriends were unacceptable in my uncle's eyes. My own money was still enough for me to enjoy myself for quite few years yet. But if my great uncle died a time period would start and if it lapsed before I met all the conditions the money would gone forever. I'd thought he would die first, and my mother would share her inheritance with me. But she died first in an accident, so I had a choice to make, accept the conditions or forget about the inheritance. A five-year period starting when my great uncle died, and he was old and not very healthy. Biting the bullet as they say I decided to settle down and moved into my late mother's home. A hobby farm of 72 acres with horses and chickens and housekeeper and her husband the farmhand and handyman who maintained it for my mother. I'd fulfilled the first condition, but time would tell. Second find a wife suitable enough to please my great uncle. I was lucky I met such a woman shortly after moving into my late mother's house. The boring bookish type who didn't date or party, worked at the local library as an assistant librarian. I joined the library and started to get to know her, it wasn't going great till I got interested in military history. It helped with my boredom, and I discovered she was into history herself. I would go to the city and party still, but finally got her to go on a date with me. Only for our mutual interest it would've been a disaster, date is a stretch it was day trip to a museum. But she enjoyed herself and I was able get her go out again with me. It was our third date that was an actual date with dinner and a show. She also enjoyed horse riding as do I and she started to visit me on the hobby farm to ride my horses with me. After 9 months I proposed, and she didn't refuse me, but said she would need to think it over. She finally accepted after 2 weeks, and I married her 6 weeks later using my great uncle's health to rush it a bit. I was happy that he liked my wife a great deal. Second condition fulfilled, with only starting a family left and I succeeded within 3 months of our wedding in getting her pregnant. My great uncle's health has improved greatly, and he is a regular visitor to the hobby farm now is in better health. I've surprised myself by enjoying my new lifestyle a lot more than I thought I would have. Or maybe it's the just satisfaction of being inline to be able to inherit in 9 years. But I really like my wife and have passed on going to the city and partying and not just because it might cause a scandal. I like being close to my wife and miss her when she is at the library working. She plans to retire after the birth of our daughter in a few month's time.
