Lucky for me

I was widowed and living alone my children having moved on with their lives, but they regularly visit me. At the time I was 51 and worked from home mostly, my closest relative living near me was a cousin 48 and she and her husband were divorcing. Likewise, their only child was out on his own. So, as they both had careers, they split everything in half. Including the house being sold and needing a new home and the market was limited, her husband stayed with his new woman. So, my cousin came to stay with me until she found a new place of her own. That was November 2019, as the available rentals weren't up to what she wanted she would stay with me until something to suit her came available. We'd always got on well growing up and there were no problems living together. As 2019 turned into 2020 the rental market hadn't improved much if any. Then the Covid virus became a thing and talk of lockdown talked about. My cousin decided staying with me until it passed might be the smart thing to do. Better than living alone, also it wouldn't last long anyway. Well, it was smart to have someone with you, but not lasting long wasn't how it turned out. The dysfunctional response from the government was appalling, the health experts were ignored by the political government leader. Causing confusion, which probably made the response lacking dragging out the lockdown. But being confined with my cousin was troubling to me or her. We started a garden together and played games (chess and other board games) to pass the time. When she caught me masturbating, she offered to help, and a sexual relationship started. When the lockdown finished, she was sleeping with me every night and we regularly had sex. It wasn't problem as she was passed having children and it was a mutual benefit relationship. After the lockdown was over the rental market was worse than before, but that wasn't a concern as she had accepted my request to stay permanently with me. My house is 4bedrooms 2baths and her bedroom was her dressing room more than a bedroom and was connected to mine via a connecting bathroom. So, when our children visit, we can get together unseen. We're very happy with our new lives and our children are happy we keep each other company.
