I was 5 my father died and that when the family farm was sold and we moved to the city to live. I never could settle into city life, always restless and as I grew older the more restless I became. On finishing university which I studied veterinary sciences, I was determined to find a place in the country to live and work. But at first, there seemed to be no vacancies in any of the places I wanted to go to. So I started work at a veterinary surgery in the city. That was 4 years ago and life dragged on, I bought a lottery ticket late last year and put it in my wallet and forgot about it. Not even checking it and carried on with my life, then back in March I was buying some snacks and was asked if I wanted a lottery ticket as there was a large jackpot at the time. I said okay and opening my wallet I found the older ticket and the service person asked if I wanted to check it. Okay I said and they scanned it and it was a winner, the ticket was the first prize winner that hadn't claimed. I was in shock at first and everyone around me congratulated me on my good future. It wasn't a jackpot but it was a great prize still, it took me several days to come to terms with my win. I started to think about what I could do with the winnings and then I was told the old family farm was up for sale by my mother Pamela. I knew she also missed the farm, but couldn't run it alone with 2 young children 1 with special needs and that's why she sold. So I investigated the price and condition of the farm and then I bought it, I told Pamela that I had bought the farm and an extra 30 acres that were also available across the road from the farm. I didn't expect to live just off the farm income and was going to set up as a vet also. On our arrival and settling back into the farmhouse I went into town to see what veterinary services were already available, I found there was only one and by chance, it was for sale as the vet wanted to retirer. I quickly bought him out and after a couple of weeks took over the practice, I quickly discovered it was a busy practice and I would need help either running it or the farm. As I wanted to be hands-on with the I decided to look for assistance in veterinary practice. That went I found Shirley 27 who worked as a relief vet for practices that wanted a holiday or were ill. She wanted a more permanent position and so I hired her when later the got very busy with an outbreak of sick animals. We worked very closely together and this led to us being caught between 2 flooded creeks and we were there for 12 or so hours and one thing led to another and we had sex and we started a relationship. Pamela is delighted with our relationship and asked Shirley to move in straight away on her finding out about our relationship. So since late May, we have been sleeping together. Shirley got pregnant from our first sexual activity in the back of my pickup. We have decided to marry in October.
