Haunted House

I've always wanted a house in the country and at the age of 31, I got myself such a house. Being single and self-employed I found an old house on 10 acres 20 miles away from the city. It looked run down and neglected and so I bought it, it wasn't expensive and the real estate agent told me it was believed to be haunted by everyone in the area. I thought that was great and couldn't wait to see it in person, I went out the following weekend to check over my purchase. It wasn't exactly mine as the transfer wasn't yet finished. But as far as I was concerned it was. I had a friend Todd come along, he was a builder and would be doing the repair work and upgrades on the old place. I had told him about it was supposedly haunted, he laughed and his wife Susan and other friends joined us for the viewing. After looking around the old place all morning we headed down to a diner a couple of miles down the road for lunch. then back to the old place for another look before heading back to the city. It took another 2 weeks for the transfer to be completed and then it was all mine. At first, Todd was going to hire local tradespeople. But had no takers, so he put together a crew from the city and they started work on the old place. They didn't see or hear anything spooky at the during the 10 weeks renovation. I moved in the week they had finished, Todd Susan and other friends stayed the first weekend with me. No ghosts were seen or heard, then I was alone and decided I needed a companion and when I was next in the city I got two dogs from the refuge. I was only after one, but the ones I got had always been together and I decided to keep them together. They were called Bonnie and Clyde and were of mixed breed, both had been fixed up. The dogs didn't seem afraid of the house and soon made themselves at home. Todd and Susan came down for a weekend and Susan brought her sister Janice 29. Both dogs took to Janice straight away and wouldn't leave her side, Janice asked Why I didn't have any horses on such a large block. I said I hadn't got around to getting the stable or yards fixed yet. Todd said Good luck getting any locals to do the work. Susan said Why don't you do it to Todd, I said Whenever you can Todd. He said He would start at the end of the month and told me of a fencing contractor to do the boundary fence. On Monday I rang the contractor and he sent down a crew the following week and replace the boundary fence and fenced the driveway to the house and redone the stable yards fencing. Not being an expert on horses, I asked Janice to accompany me to the next horse sales to buy horses. Todd had started repairing the stables and had been given changes to the design by Janice to improve their use. Janice picked out 6 horses and I purchased them all, she also got all the tack required. Show me how to store and maintain it and she got all the extras needed for the horses. The arrived the day Todd finished repairing the stables and Janice stayed an extra couple of days making sure they settled in. It was when we were alone that I made a move on Janice and we had sex for the first. Janice is an artist and a couple of weeks after she moved in with me fulltime, Susan was delighted and said that she always thought we were made for each other. I'm not a great horseman. But with Janice beside me showing how I have improved a great deal. Janice and I were having regular sex and last November I asked her to marry me and she accepted. We're marrying second of August on the third anniversary of the day I moved permanently in at the haunted house. No Ghosts yet.
