Telling my family that im dating my cousin

My relationship with my cousin Carolina got pretty serious. I want to marry her and she feels the same way but she told me we should let our family get comfortable with the idea first before we start thinking about getting married. We have to tell our families.
The next day, she invited me to have dinner at her house and we planned to tell her parents first. We rang the doorbell and waited for a second. The door opened and my aunt invited me in. I hugged my aunt and she told me that dinner will be ready soon so I should hang out with everybody else in the living room. I walked with Carolina to her living room (of course looking at her ass) and her brother and sister greeted me.
"How have you been?" asked her sister
"Good"
her brother asked me "do I have a girlfriend"
I looked at Carolina and she smiled.
"Yeah"
"Ooh is she..."
Carolina interrupted
"Dude stop asking so many questions, go set the table" he looked disappointed but obeyed Carolina.
A couple of minutes later, my aunt said "dinner's ready!"
We walked to the table, and I sat right next to Carolina.
My aunt served our plates and she sat down and we prayed.
After we finished our prayer, we began to eat.
It was a quiet first minute but my aunt interrupted the silence by asking me a question.
"So John, what's new?"
"Nothing. Everything is pretty much the same as always but..."
Carolina's brother interrupted by saying " He has a new girlfriend"
My aunt was surprised and looked interested. "Oh! So who's the lucky girl?"
I was going to say it but Carolina beat me to it.
"We're dating"
Everybody stopped right in their tracks
" what?" said my aunt
Carolina put her hand on mine and said "I'm dating John"
My aunt finished swallowing her food and told Carolina's siblings to go their rooms.
When they closed their doors, my aunt said " are you serious?"
I said "yeah"
My aunt just sat there and looked at my uncle who just sat there kind of smiling
"Honey, why the hell are you smiling?"
"They're old enough to make their own decisions, plus we actually know the boyfriend very well. He's a good kid. I don't see the problem"
She responded with "you're useless" and turned back to us.
"Have you guys had sex?"
Carolina sighed and said "yeah"
"Have you at least been careful?"
"John got a vasectomy, I won't get pregnant"
My aunt just sat there, staring into nothing.
"Have you told John's parents?"
Carolina responded with a no.
My aunt sighed and said " I guess I'm ok with it"
I sighed in relief.

I left the house, going to my car about to leave when Carolina's dad comes outside
"Let me guess, that girl you told me about a while back was actually Carolina"
I nodded
He sighed and sat on the hood right next to me.
"Just take care of her"
I nodded and said "will do"
We shook hands and he left inside. I got in my car and drove 1 block over and walked back and I came back through Carolina's window into her room where we had sex once everybody went to sleep
