The Schoolteacher

I've never took much notice of my schoolteachers while at school and left as soon as I could. I'd my sister staying with me while her husband was getting treated at the local hospital and her daughter was attending the local school while her father was being treated (wounded on active service). He made a full recovery according to the doctors, so they left shortly after he got released. During the time he was in the hospital I would take my niece to school. I met her teacher and didn't take all that notice at the time. A month after my sister and family had gone, I came across the teacher in the shopping center car park she had a flat tire. She is only 5' and slender and so I offered to change it for her. I was thinking of asking her out but decided against it, but she offered to cook me dinner as a thankyou and so I accepted. I arrived at her rental and just about everything was packed up, she was moving and would do so as soon as she found a place she could afford. Her rent had gone up and she couldn't afford it, I myself didn't like paying rent and bought a house instead of renting. I'm still paying it off. I did have 2 spare bedrooms, only 1 bathroom. After she said she might be on the street if she couldn't find a reasonable rental. I said I've spare bedrooms, not expecting her to be interested. But she was, she had sized up and found me to someone she could trust. I told her my address and she said she would come over the day about 11am. I expected a call saying she wasn't coming but she came and liked what she saw. She decided to take up my offer and moved in the following week. As she done all the cooking and started doing my laundry and we shared the cleaning. I decided not to charge her rent, just split the groceries bill. Of course, we became closer and started a relationship and I was thinking of asking her to marry me. But 2 things happened, first my sister and family had to come back for her husband's final treatment and my schoolteacher/lover got pregnant. I already had pictures of rings I was thinking of buying, she didn't want to pressure me into marriage. But I showed the pictures to prove I was already thinking of asking her and so I asked, and she accepted. A quick wedding followed mainly because my sister and family were already here, and I wanted it done before he changed her mind. Now 10 years and 3 children later we're both very happy, she still teaches and were just about finished paying off the house. It was delayed a bit because we built an extra bedroom with ensuite. All thanks to taking my niece to school.
