Shocking discovery

My family for the most part, are born again Christians. I was but strayed away after the pandemic crap, but I'm not only one to leave the family because of their Christian beliefs. I've an uncle who while I was growing up, I never heard of and of course never met. He is my father's younger brother and blacklisted in the family. His name is never to be spoken or used to name any child born into the family. His name is cursed as far as the family is concerned, it's also a popular name and mentioned in the bible. That name is David, and his big sin was telling his father that they weren't Christians. Which he was then labelled a Devil worshipper and he was erased from the family tree, he left to make his own way and after I stopped going to church, I was also erased as a Devil's spawn. Which led me to me finding out about my uncle David, all I had was a small bag a few clothes and very little money. I had taken a bus to the next state to get away from the family. Needing work, I started looking straight away and at one place I asked about a job, and they took my name and on hearing my surname. They asked was I related to David, as our surname isn't a common name. I said I didn't know and hadn't heard of others outside of our state. So, as I had a namesake you could say I went to see if we were related in some way or another. I found the building he worked in and owned, and it was just one of the properties he owned. He was the major local employer, and everybody knew him or at least knew of him. Being the biggest local employer, I might at least get a job. I told the receptionist who I was and asked if any job were available. She rang my uncle told him there was someone with same last name. He came to meet me an enquire more about me. He soon realized I was his niece and also blacklisted by the family a plus in his eyes. At a stroke my troubles were over, I was invited to live with him, and his family and he said he would give me a job. His family wasn't like I thought it would be a wife and children. His was 5 wives and 14 children all under 16 years old, a bit of a shock at first, they were happy with their lives. Living altogether, none of his wives were legally married to him, but all had taken his name legally. As he hadn't married any or more than one the law wasn't concerned about his family arrangement. All children were his and 3 of his wives were close relatives 2 sisters and a cousin. Even the local minster couldn't say anything as more than one wife was allowed in the bible, might think it but didn't say anything. Seen as a good Christian in the community and well-liked by everyone I met. As his niece I was given job at his office and lived at his home, especially as I was on the blacklist like him, he said my name would be stricken from the list of names allowed in the family and removed like his was and never spoken within the family again. That amused him greatly as a so-called Christian family not allowed to say the name Mary ever again. I hadn't thought of it that way and it also gives me amusement when I think about. That was in late 2021 and I'm engaged to marry in September a neighbor of David's and have a better life now than ever before and a loving family who really care for me.
