I'm divorced 34 no children and was having a lazy day at home; it was raining, and I decided to stay home and do nothing. After lunch the wind picked up and the rain got heavier, then the power went out and my backup power kicked in. Then I heard a loud crashing sound and went to investigate, I knew it wasn't in my yard, as I have nothing in my yard except my house. The neighbor's small garden shed had blown over the fence into my yard. No damage to my yard or the fence, the neighbor luckily had nothing in the shed and was standing at the fence looking at her shed. Her umbrella wasn't going last long in the wind. I put on a raincoat and went to tell her I'll help her clean up after the storm. She could see I had power and asked me how I had power and she didn't. I told her I had solar panels on the roof and a battery backup system. She then asked me could she come over and shower later on if the power was still off, as she had a water heater that only heated the water as required, with the power off she could only have cold showers. I said Okay and she went inside just as her umbrella ripping apart. I checked the power company website and there were power lines down all over and it would take till next morning to repair at least. But it wouldn't be really started until the storm eased off or blow over. So, I gave my home a quick tidy up, I wouldn't want my neighbor (32 widow) thinking I was untidy. By the time I had done the clean up the storm was easing, and it was starting to get dark. I put my dinner on to warm up and there was knock on my front door it was my neighbor. I showed the way to the bathroom and left her there. I was just about to have dinner when she reappeared having had her shower. Being a good neighbor, I asked would she like to have a hot dinner with me. She agreed as she only had a sandwich planned for her dinner as she had no power to cook. We had a good meal together and then there was a crash of thunder right overhead. Another storm was starting, I knew from the weather reports of more storms. But the sudden boom of thunder overhead gave us both a fright and we hugged each other. I recovered quickly so did she, but I decided to kiss her, and she kissed me back. Well, we slept together that night and started dating thereafter and she is now pregnant with our first child. We married before she got pregnant and expect our daughter in August. I'm now a real lover of thunderstorms, rain, high wind and power cuts. I refer the storm that started our romance as Cupid's storm.
