Last Halloween

Having just separated from mt girlfriend weeks before Halloween, I (33) was planning to keep out of sight of friends and neighbors. No children of my own and living a long distance from my nieces and nephews. So, I closed the curtains and planned an evening watching movies alone. That was my plan, but it didn't happen. A friend cornered me a couple days before and asked me to a Halloween party at his place. He got me by saying he was in a bind, and only I could help him out. I said I'll be happy to help anyway I could, trapped because the trouble was his sister-in-law (31) was in town and had also recently broken up. So, his wife was on his case to find someone nice to partner with his sister-in-law. Having agreed, I decided to honor my word and go to the party, with no other plans. One plus was if the sister-in-law looked anything like his wife, I would be very happy. She did and we did have similar careers and interests and we hit it off straight away. Now we are in a relationship, and she spends more time at my place than her sister's home. So, I asked her to move in and she has agreed, everything has fallen into place.
