My Island Home

Prior to the pandemic I bought a island 3'5 acres in a lake for holiday retreat, it already had a basic cabin on it. Which I'd removed and had a prefab house installed with bedrooms and 1 bathroom and compo toilet. A boat shed also had a shower on the outside for a quick after swimming. A underwater cable to provide power and I was all setup just before the pandemic started, so once its looked like it was going to spread I retreated to my island with everything I would need for at least 6 months, including internet connection thru satellite and satellite phone(backup). I already had great reception for my cellphone on the island, one reason I bought the island. I had only been there a day. When my longtime friend and neighbor Maureen 35 divorced rang and asked me would I mind her and her mother Lorraine 59 joining me. Lorraine had lung problems from asthma and so Maureen thought getting away from the city would be better for mother. I agreed I David 36 was single then, I had bought my family home from my parents when they retired to the coast closer to my sister and her family. I hadn't seen Maureen as a lover before we had grown up as neighbors and were friends. But once we became lovers, we made up for lost time. We're still all living together and only 15 minutes from anything we might need.
