Chess Club

I'm Alan 31 married with one on the way, back in 2019 I was lonely bored and feeling fed up with everything. I love playing chess and football and basketball, I'm okay at football and basketball. But have won competitions playing chess, I like it because you have to think and I was okay at school work, not great but good enough to get into my chosen career. Done okay at relationships and then started to get bored with everything. My friends didn't like to play chess and I really missed playing. Then I was offered a transfer in my job and I accepted it as a way of progressing my career. On arrival at my new town, I was soon feeling lonely. But then one day I walked into the lunchroom to get a coffee and saw some of the staff playing chess. This picked up my mood straight away, I might have a chance of getting someone to play chess with. One of the players Cheryl 28 was losing to the other and she was having trouble thinking her moves thru. The other was was annoying with his bragging about his skill. As I watched I saw a great move, but she was about to concede the game. I told her not too as she was only a couple moves away from winning. Donald told me, Cheryl had never beat him and never would as he was too good. Cheryl looked at me and when she touched the right piece I smiled and frowned when she went to move it the wrong way. Donald didn't realize the trouble he was in and moved as I expected him too. Several more moves and Cheryl won and Donald said she cheated as I helped her. But win is a win and I hadn't said a word about moving any of the pieces. Cheryl and I became friends and soon were dating and with teaching her she soon was beating Donald without my help. Early in 2020 she moved in with me and sleeping every night together. Then the pandemic started followed by a lockdown and I could work from home and Cheryl was stood down, but I started teaching her to use my computer and then bought one online and we also passed the time playing chess. By the time the lockdown was over Cheryl's computer skills were good enough to get a promotion in the company we worked. But I used my standing in the company to get her a better job and one that would have her close to me. As my personal assistant, I had to travel in my job and having Cheryl as my P A made sense to me. Also it made sense to the boss of the company in our town, as she said I wouldn't be thinking of what's going on at home with my partner always with me. I popped the question in October and we married in March, Cheryl is still my P A and we have started a chess club locally and even Donald joined.
