I've never been the good child, always getting into trouble and finally heading off on my own. My 2 siblings were the the complete opposite to me and went university and now have great careers. My mother died when I was 7 the youngest of 3, it not because my mother died I became troublesome. I'd been that for years before she passed away, no reason mainly. I didn't like doing what I suppose to do and rebelled. Not lazy either, got by out on my own by working hard and learning skills. I qualified as a mechanic, electrician, plumber and carpenter. I had to go and get the demons out of myself you could say' The push to leave home came when widowed father Alexander decided to remarry and I thought was far too soon. So I left home at the age of 15 almost 16 I left, now when I look back I know it wasn't him remarrying that upset me. It was the fact I was always looking for a fight with the family for any reason at all. My brother Alex or sister Sybil weren't exempt from my rage either. I know my father tried to find me for years and I kept away from all of my family, not even a letter to any of them. I settled down at 19 and learnt my skills from Patrick then in his sixties, he help me get rid of my demons as he called them. Sadly Patrick passed away in 2020 from the corona virus at 72. With his passing I came to realize I should make amends before it was too late. Now 28 and all Patrick's wishes completed, I decided to head home and make good on my last promise to Patrick make up with my family. Gone was the skinny loudmouth and replaced with a well tanned heavyset man. Get back to my old home was easy enough, but repairing the damage I had done to the family wasn't going to be easy. I got a job and a place to live, so I could scope out the situation with the family. I didn't look much like I had before I left, so when I met my Sybil now married and with 2 children of her own. She had a flat tire and a baby in her arms nd 3 year old to manage. She hadn't really changed that much, but driving a family business car with the family name on it helped also. She was trying to call for assistants. When I told her I would change her wheel for her. After she thanked me and offered me money and I refused, I was temped to tell her who I was. But didn't later on that week she came into the garage I was working at with her husband Clark and the 2 children. Again she thanked me I said no problem and that was that. I saw my father Alexander next he was with his new wife Susan and their son Kevin 7 and her daughter Emma 24. I didn't speak to either of them, but knew they were doing well business wise. Lastly I me Alex my brother and it was him who recognized me. He is likes to paint always had and being a bit of an artist led to him knowing I was his long departed brother Robert. I asked him not tell the others, but he wasn't willing to stay quiet. As he said that Alexander had spent years searching for me and still missed me very much. I asked him to wait a few more days and I would make contact with him myself, he agreed on the condition it was 2 days not a minute longer. I sent my father a letter and told him I was coming to see him alone on the Wednesday at his office at 10am. I hoped I was ready for the meeting I had promised Patrick, just before 10am I arrived at Alexander's office and he was very happy to see me, we talked for several hours and I promised to see the rest of the family on the Saturday morning. I met Alex later and he said Alexander was happiest he had been in years. All the family couldn't wait for Saturday to come. It was then that Sybil came in and saw Alex and came over to us with her 2 children. She told Alex I was the nice man who fixed her tire, she was shocked when Alex told her that what brothers are for. Only then did she recognize me. So on the Saturday as promised I turned up at the family home and was welcomed warmly. I met Susan , Kevin, Emma and Clark and they wanted me to move with them. But I preferred my place at that time. Telling them I'm a bit of a loner, but over the following weeks we all got together often and Emma took a liking to me and started dropping my workplace to see me. She is attending the local university and so I asked her out on sought date and we have become lovers and have even started thinking of marriage. The owner of the garage I work at got ill and decided to retire, unsure what would happen I told Alexander I might have to find another job. He told not to worry my job was safe, he had already bought out the garage and planned for me to run it. I found it out at the now regular Sunday family lunch. One condition was I had to move back to the family home estate. There was a vacant cottage on the estate and I could come and go as I pleased and as Alexander and Susan were happy with me dating Emma, I wouldn't have to stop our relationship. I agreed, but highlighted one problem I'm no good at bookwork. No problem I have a company accountant do that, as it's a part of the company. Last week I asked Emma to marry me and she accepted, we're marrying on the 15th, I still don't have much in the way of patience today and it's as quick as it can be arranged.
