From Nurse to Lover

First a brief history, I married at 18 to Carol then 17 and pregnant. Divorced at 25 and traveled the world working and finally returned home after twenty years away. Carol had remarried a year after our divorce and she had custody of Janet our daughter. I hadn't married again and had been in a lot of relationships and no more children. Janet was 6 almost 7 at the time of our divorce and I had paid maintenance and sent her birthday and Christmas presents over the years. But I hadn't seen her since the divorce, on my return home I tried to see her and was told she didn't want to see me. So I accepted her wishes and stayed away, then 2 years later I was in a car accident and while in the hospital. I was treated by a young female doctor, it was Janet who had qualified as a doctor. She didn't know it was me at first as her surname had changed to her stepfathers after the divorce. I was out to it for a while on medication and due to my injuries, once I was conscious. A nurse started getting my details and Janet was also present. I was asked about family and said I had a daughter, but put down no family as she didn't want to see me. Janet then insisted I tell them her name and I told her it was Janet with my surname. She didn't realize that it was her name then as it had been a long time since she had used my surname almost29 years. I had been on my way to a new job at the time the accident and had no place in the city to stay upon leaving the hospital. My insurance company said they arrange a place to stay until I was fully recovered. I wasn't at fault in the accident, a drunk driver ran a red light trying to get away from police. He only got a minor cut and I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Janet came and saw me 2 days after our previous conversation and told me that she was my daughter. She had remembered her previous surname and done some checking and asked her mother, Carol, why I was told she didn't want to see me and was told I had been gone so long that Carol thought it would be better for Janet not to be bothered by me. So Janet hadn't been informed of my return or asked about meeting me. Janet asked me to stay with her after I got out of the hospital and said we could get to know each other. I agreed and after 2 weeks staying with Janet I was fully fit again. Janet and I got only very well together and I had to get another job as the other had lapsed while I was in the hospital. I found another job in the city and stayed with Janet and we would go out together to dinners and movies. One thing led to another and we ended up sleeping together for 2 years and then I received a job offer overseas and Janet decided to go with me, she left her job at the hospital and joined me overseas. She got employment as a doctor there and as far as anyone knows she is my wife.
