Work Colleague

I was 33 when this all started, and my colleague was 27. She had joined the company a year before, and our paths had rarely crossed. I'm a senior designer and was in another section entirely. Then I was given a special project to design, had to have my own special crew to complete the project. It was a case of take what your given crew wise, as section head gave you who they could spare not me choosing. Being relatedly new to the company she was assigned to me; she was fairly timid at first. But as we worked together, she warmed more to the project. Once completed, we would go back to our previous jobs. But not in this case, as we'd done a great job, we were assigned another project. As the boss said why break up such a great team. No promotions involved, except in my personal relationship with my colleague. We were attracted to each other and worked late one evening and then had dinner together. On finishing our dinner, it was raining fairly heavily, she had to catch two buses to get to her home. I lived close by, and it was a Friday night, and we weren't working Saturday. I said if she wanted too, she could stay at my place, I was about to say I'd a spare bedroom when she accepted. Our relationship when to full relationship mood that night as we became lovers. Within a couple of weeks, she was living with me. Now six months later she is my wife marrying last month and has just tested positive to being pregnant. Also, I've just been promoted to head the special project section not much of a pay rise, but I do get a personal assistant. No points for guessing who I've chosen.
