How I got my wife

I was 30 at the time successful in my career and doing very well financially as well. But I'd a head start I inherited quite a lot; I wasn't a self-made man and would never claim to be. At 29 I met my now father-the-law (FIL), he had an idea to boost his company and his finances. I wasn't interested at that time, as I was distracted my career at the time. A few months later our paths crossed again, this time I wasn't distracted. But also, not looking to invest in something new either. My soon to be FIL and his 2 older children (sons) were looking for help to save their business. They had before accepted financial help was a shady group of investors, who were trying to take over their business to sell it for their financial gain at the expense of my future FIL. Unless they could repay the loan and the interest, they would lose everything. It was a condition of their contract payment on demanded clause, they had waited until the changes were made and were generating the desired results that they acted. At first, I wasn't interested much at all, but on seeing his last child I soon gained more interest. His only daughter 22 at the time single and gorgeous, took my breath away at first sight. I than showed more interest, if just to get near and to know the daughter. Not wanting to get too involved at the time I stated I don't usually invest outside the family. I didn't have a family, so I only invested in my own projects. I could easily afford the money or just buy the business when the investors sold it after taking it over if I really wanted it. I didn't, but I was very interested in the daughter and that was all of my interest really. But I went thru the process of interest in the business anyway. With the deadline fast approaching, the father having noted my interest in his daughter and my statement of only investing in family business. Made the offer of his daughter in marriage to me, I was shocked and also interested and asked what the daughter thought of the idea. He called her in and put it to her in front of me, she at first was shocked. But stated she wanted what was best for her family and that I looked to be a good man also and she would marry me if required. A quick marriage followed as the deadline was close, I believe I got the best out of the deal. Now years later my investment in my FIL's business was the best ever investment I've made. I also have a wife who I believe actually loves me and has given me 4 children 2 boys 2 girls and I also gained a family outside of my own. I've never had any problems with my in-laws and enjoy their company.
