Retirement Village

My wife died of a heart attack in late 2022, I then decided to retire and give my business to my 2 children. They had been running it for several years anyway, I decided a retirement village suited me better than living in an apartment building. I found a nice quiet village close to the ocean and moved in, at 63 I was the youngest male by far. But the women were late sixties or older at first glance. All except one that is, my closest neighbor in the village. She was 61 and looked great in a swimsuit. She had moved in with late husband in 2019 and he was 11 years older than her and a heavy smoker all his life and Covid took him in late 2020 (October). She decided she might as well stay as she was settled in and liked the place. Our Condos as they are called were in groups of 2 all looked the same inside and out. A rear patio mainly divided by a small hedge lining the grassed areas, except close to the door into the condo, where there was floor to ceiling solid block wall as well as others at other side of your patio space. At first, I didn't realize she lived there as I hadn't gone out onto the grass as yet. Finally, I wanted out onto the grass after the gardeners had mowed it and trimmed the hedges. I was just looking out towards the ocean when my neighbor spoke to me as she was sitting on her patio near her entrance. After that we spoke daily and even started having meals together on the patio. J just had to step over the hedge, and I was in her area. Then we attended a dance together and enjoyed ourselves and ended the night by sleeping together. We than became regular lovers but prefer being single and have our own space. So, friends with benefits I think the term is, it gives us a feeling of freedom and ability to interact when we want too. Which is fairly often sex wise, it's our choice.
