Hired for my Body

A failure at school and so I left to work manual jobs at 16, over the following years I worked steadily and was really fit and so no need to go to a gym. Not that I could afford to join a gym anyway. My jobs kept changing, mainly because they were always short term. But I'd a good reputation as a good reliable worker, I'd little trouble getting another job. Not a big drinker and a non-smoker and never took drugs, mainly as I couldn't afford to buy them at first. But when I was flusher with cash, I'd no interest in trying them either. But I do like a cold beer after a week's work and have never been drunk. I never buy more than six pack and it lasts me at least two days. I can drive, but don't own a car and never have. So (2022), at 28 I was working for a landscaper and as usual it was only till the job was done. Doing landscaping of a large property with a mansion, new owners were putting their own personal stamp on the property. Anyway, I done the work I was assigned and never saw the owners. But on the job being finished, I was told the owners wanted to see me. I went to see them and that's when I found out it was two women who own the property, both in their late forties or early fifties. They're sisters widow and had decided to live together and so bought the property. Their children had left the nest so to speak and would visit when they wanted too. They wanted to see me to offer me the job as groundman/gardener. I'm no gardener, know very little about plants and had always done as instructed on jobs.
