Shocked on my Return

I returned after 3years away, I went overseas for work and improving my career prospects. Before I went, I was dating the neighbor's daughter. On getting back I went to stay with my parents and thought I might again date the neighbor's daughter. I hadn't heard she had married and was hoping to rekindle our relationship, well that was a lot easier than I thought it might be. On getting to my parent's place, my mother was babysitting a small girl (2+). Which turned out to be her granddaughter, to an only child it was shocking to find out I'd a daughter. Nobody had told me anything about me having a daughter, the neighbor's daughter had gotten pregnant shortly after I'd left. They had kept it secret from me to let me progress my career unhindered. My shocked passed quickly and was replaced with delight, I'd been missing my former girlfriend all the time I was away. But I had to wait to see her as she was at work and so was her mother (widow). My mother watched my daughter while they were working. My father got home first, and I then left and got flowers for my girlfriend, her mother and my mother. Also getting a teddy bear for my daughter. I got home and waited for my future wife to arrive; we hadn't kept in touch much due to the remote places I was working. She knew I was returning and expected me in 2days time, but I'd gotten an earlier flight due to cancelations. I took everyone out to dinner to celebrate and proposed that evening. I'd planned to find my place soon after returning, but instead just moved in with my wife and mother-in-law and daughter. Three months later we married, and my again pregnant wife is having a boy this time and will be named after her late father. I went from hoping to restart my relationship with my now wife to marriage and couldn't be happier.
